Lika Elwood

Lika's dream came true when she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and became a full-time yoga teacher. At first she was very intimidated by yoga's spiritual and scholastic side which she did not find in previous experiences with ballet and modern dance. She was initially drawn to yoga as a way to maintain her flexibility and strength, she soon discovered the full power of yoga, as a path to becoming a more balanced, compassionate and happy person.
Lika teaches vinyasa flow based yoga classes and focuses on creating a comfortable, non-competitive and SAFE space, where students can explore their practice while challenging themselves.Her favorite Yoga pose at the moment is Titibasana or Firefly because this challenging pose teaches her that life is always 2 steps forward, one step back. Sometimes she finds it impossible for her to get into this pose or other times she finds it with ease, thus bringing her awareness that yoga practice is all about focus. No matter how experienced we are in doing something, there are times when our focus is not present and that's ok.
Her personal goal is to become a more mindful, spiritual, present person and appreciate life for what it is.Beside yoga, Lika's passions are her family, friends, children, traveling and animals. Her two puppies teach her everyday to love, to give, to be happy and smile even through difficult periods of times.
