Loretta Arcangeli

Loretta is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher with a Masters' degree in biology. She grew up in Georgia but has lived her adult life all around the country, including Hawaii, Alaska and California. She has finally found a place to call home in Virginia and has lived here for nine years. She is a full time yoga teacher and Mom.
A life-long fitness enthusiast, Loretta began practicing yoga eight years ago when she wandered into a yoga studio after spin class looking for a good stretch. What she found was an amazing workout and the beginning of a journey that would change the way she thinks about fitness as well as her outlook on life. Loretta offers a challenging yoga experience that emphasizes strength building and core stability. Her classes accentuate proper alignment and integrate the use of modifications and props to make the practice safe and accessible to a broad audience. Her gentle nature and sense of humor put her students at ease, as she encourages them to move with authenticity and integrity.
Loretta's goal as a yoga teacher is to guide her students along a path toward greater strength and flexibility while helping to foster a deep kinesthetic awareness that helps students improve their functionality off the mat, in other fitness pursuits , and in their day to day lives.
